Software quality assurance for provisioning systems used to create and integrate data and VoIP network lines. Worked with NIS, CNI, Simple, SPLA, Eureka, Oracle DB, Toad, Cramer, Remedy, Unix, XML and SoapUI. Managed test analysis, test-book implementation and defect tracking using HP Quality Center 11.

Quality acceptance, stress and performance testing of ADSL/VDSL CPE devices, Wi-Fi, routers, switches and VoIP interfaces. Used DSLAMs, Spirent loop/noise injectors, RAD Performer, Ixia Optixia XM2, Vötsch thermal chambers, Ubuntu shell scripts, Python and LabVIEW automation.

• Quality assurance for SMS/MMS handling and delivery platforms (MDP), using CIMD2, EAIF, RADIUS, DIAMETER, PAP, SMPP and 3GPP protocols, Java, JBoss, Tomcat, Mercury, Mantis and Oracle.
• Consultancy for the Openwave cellular WAP platform, including maintenance and upgrades on Sun Enterprise/Starfire and Cisco platforms.
• Architecture and integration work covering performance, SAN, clustering, Oracle, load balancing, routing, high availability, backup, disaster recovery, security, reporting and system integration.

• Security analysis, development and upgrades for corporate LAN/WAN environments, including mail, antivirus, intrusion detection, network sniffing, firewalls and strong authentication.
• Technical architecture for internet portals and private clients, including Jumpy, Mediaset Online, Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4 and Pagine Utili.

Responsibility for front-office platforms on Unix (DEC/HP/Sun), Windows NT and Novell environments, including Datasim, OpenTrade MTI, Reuters, ANSA, Knight Ridder, Telerate and Bloomberg feeds. Also installed, maintained, upgraded and tuned SAP R/3 (versions 3.2–4.5b) on Unix, Windows NT and Oracle platforms for clients including Banca Antonveneta, Eldor and Thyssen.

Worked on Sun platforms and Solaris operating systems, TCP/IP networks, internet/intranet and client-server applications, parallel databases, high-availability configurations, RAID disk arrays and Ultra Enterprise hardware. Completed technical training courses in the USA and UK.

Managed Unix systems and design on Sun Solaris and SCO, Sybase and Oracle databases, Datasim, Novell and Windows PC networks, LAN/WAN, data transmission, terminal emulation and Reuters/Bloomberg links. Also worked as Project Controller for the Qui’ Cariplo call centre on HP-9000, Sun SPARC and Windows NT platforms.
